Nancy’s Class offering will be suitable for both beginners and those with some experience, students will learn breath awareness, basic poses, proper alignment, and relaxation techniques. This 6-week class emphasizes a cumulative approach with new poses being added to the ones from previous lessons.

Chris Bruns ~ Chris has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 15 years. She was drawn to yoga because of its focus on self-discovery and mind/body connection. She believes that each time we come to our mats, there is the opportunity to learn something new about ourselves and through regular yoga practice, we cultivate spiritual growth, inner peace and balance in our lives. Chris received her 200 hour RYT training through Inner Peace Yoga Center in Indianapolis. As an instructor, her goal is to assist others on the path of self exploration, awareness and acceptance. Chris enjoys teaching traditional Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flows and Pranayama.

Chris also works part-time at the YMCA and Twice Blessed. She is married to Jim and has 3 adult children. Besides being a student of yoga philosophy and its asanas, her other interests include vegetarian cooking, gardening and hiking.

Chris’s class will be a slow Vinyasa flow which is perfect for beginners to become familiar with the postures of the body, as well as advanced practitioners looking to get back to the basics. You will practice inner awareness, linking breath with movement, safe alignment and relaxation.
